Great post! I will definitely be reading more of your site more often! This is a great article on Omega-3!
Is fish oil the same is omega3? I heard conflicting views. Some say that the health features of fish oil is good regardless of the fact it has omega3 or not. Other say omega3 is the active ingredient.
I tried fish oil and it really helped with those fatty acids. The problem was that it made my stomach upset….
Any suggestions?
Here are a couple things that you can try:
- Take it with food (or after a meal)
- Try freezing the fish oil supplement
Fish oil is usually composed of the Omega-3 Fatty Acids – EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Both of which are believed to be beneficial. You can supplement with DHA without taking a fish oil supplement. DHA derived from algae is a popular vegan Omega-3 supplement since it is plant derived. Incidentally, fish acquire Omega-3 in their bodies by eating algae. Their bodies do not produce it.
